About the Role

Contract: Part-time, Permanent
Guaranteed Hours : 25 hours per week.
Additional Hours: Additional hours up to approximately 35 hours per week. Depending on the needs of the business.
Working Pattern: Including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required by the needs of
the business.
Pay: NMW/NLW + Service Charge
* Guaranteed Basic Pay: The applicable National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage rate for your age, plus a share of the restaurant's service charge. Service charge is paid in addition to your basic pay and will vary depending on the amount collected and the Company's service charge distribution arrangements.
Requirements
As a Front of House Team Member, you will be the face of Burnout BBQ, delivering exceptional hospitality and memorable dining experiences from the moment our guests arrive until they leave. Working alongside the Front of House Shift Leader and Front of House Manager, you will ensure every guest receives the outstanding service Burnout BBQ is known for. From welcoming guests and sharing your knowledge of our authentic American BBQ to serving food, processing payments and creating memorable moments, you'll play a key role in bringing the Burnout BBQ Family Ethos to life every day.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service
● Welcome every guest with a warm, friendly and professional attitude.
● Greet and seat customers promptly and efficiently.
● Present menus confidently, demonstrating excellent knowledge of our food, cooking processes and smoked BBQ techniques to help guests choose the perfect meal.
● Make personalised food and drink recommendations based on guests' preferences.
● Enquire about food allergies and dietary requirements before taking orders, ensuring all relevant procedures are followed.
● Take accurate food and drink orders using company systems.
● Upsell menu items, drinks, desserts and promotional offers to enhance the guest experience.
● Deliver food and drinks promptly and professionally, ensuring every order is presented to Burnout BBQ standards.
● Create memorable guest experiences, including delivering birthday packages and celebrating special occasions.
● Check back with guests throughout their visit to ensure they are enjoying their experience.
● Process customer payments accurately using company systems.
● Handle guest feedback professionally and refer any concerns to the Shift Leader where appropriate.
● Ensure every guest receives the outstanding Burnout BBQ experience we're known for.
Teamwork & Daily Operations
● Work closely with the kitchen and Front of House teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.
● Assist with restaurant opening and closing procedures.
● Set, prepare, clear and reset tables efficiently throughout service.
● Assist with bookings, telephone enquiries and customer enquiries.
● Support colleagues during busy service periods.
● Communicate effectively with team members throughout every shift.
Standards & Presentation
● Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
● Complete general cleaning duties throughout each shift.
● Replenish stock and maintain well-organised service stations.
● Ensure dining areas remain clean, welcoming and presented to Burnout BBQ standards.
● Wear the Burnout BBQ uniform correctly and maintain excellent presentation.
● Maintain a clean and organised workstation throughout every shift.
● Help create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the Burnout BBQ brand.
Health, Safety & Compliance
● Follow all company policies, Health & Safety and food hygiene procedures.
● Handle food and drinks safely and responsibly.
● Check identification in accordance with Challenge 25 and licensing legislation when serving alcohol.
● Report any maintenance, safety or cleanliness concerns to the Shift Leader.
● Help maintain a safe environment for guests, colleagues and visitors.
